QuestTel XLR Audio over Fiber is an industry-grade balanced audio over fiber system that transmits interference-free analog XLR audio over fiber optic cable across distances up to 20km (up to 120km on request). This fiber optic audio extender is built for broadcast, live sound, houses of worship, and professional AV, eliminating the ground loops, EMI, RFI, and signal degradation of long copper runs. It supports singlemode (SM) and multimode (MM) fiber, with a default maximum of 20 km over SM and 3 km over MM, engineerable up to 120 km. Each kit pairs a matched transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) for lossless 16-bit balanced audio over fiber on a single strand, and is available as 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32-channel XLR audio over fiber transmitter/receiver kits in standalone and rack-mounted configurations. Typical uses include microphone over fiber, intercom over fiber, theaters, stadiums, and places of worship.
