CWDM Channel Planner

Enter how many SDI channels have to share one fiber, which SDI standard they carry and how long the span is. The planner returns the ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM wavelengths to order, a mux/demux configuration, a first-pass optical budget and the QuestTel unit that matches the job.

One CWDM wavelength per SDI channel, per direction. 1 to 18 channels.
Pick the highest standard on the link; every channel has to clear it.
End-to-end singlemode (G.652.D) fiber length, one way.
Bidirectional puts both directions on a single strand, so each direction takes its own wavelength out of the same grid.
Mated connector pairs end to end, 0.5 dB each. Mux and demux insertion loss is added separately.
